A small, friendly, local running club in Bracknell and surrounding areas

Bracknell Road Runners weekly training schedule is structured to provide variety and be flexible enough to accommodate those training for distances from 5k to marathons (and beyond).

Our focus is always on enjoyment though, whether that’s on our famous chatty runs, at socials or travel away to events.

Our weekly sessions

Here’s our typical weekly structure. We also sometimes have other ad-hoc runs.

We post the details at the start of each week, so watch out in case timings have changed, especially on holiday weekends.

How far? How fast? What does it cost? For answers to these questions and more visit Our Club.

Monday
18:30

Monday sees our famous chatty run to help you recover from the weekend.

There’s a choice of groups so you can find a comfortable pace to talk.

On Bank Holidays we usually start at 09:30

Tuesday
Evening

A choice of runs: a speedier run for the gazelles amongst us or a slower one for those who prefer a natter. Times vary so check the schedule.

The speedier run is not a race and you’ll feel supported as you find your new tempo.

Wednesday
18:00

Middle of the week, maximum effort.

This is always an interval session and led by qualified coaches. Sometimes on track, or in a local park or maybe hill repeats.

All done at your pace, no one gets left out.

Friday
18:00

Its Friday, it must be Fartleks.

A gentle warmup followed by cruise intervals always letting the group reform so everyone can catch their breath.

Saturday

No club meet, but you’ll often find us at local parkruns, or maybe doing an ultra!

Sunday
09:30

The long run.

What is long? Well it depends… on what people are training for, and what we feel like doing. Typically somewhere between 10 and 20 miles. The location varies: in Bracknell or within about 30 minutes drive.

Usually finishes with coffee and cake.
